Sugar Maple?

Is this what one means by a sugar maple? I think not! Ready for fall, yet not in too big of a hurry for snow. It seems to be pushing really hard this year to make a stand. The fields are still filled with the harvest and it seems that no one is getting a break. We has farmer are wondering if the weather will break enough to bring in the crop! Oh well we are not in control and we are ready to roll with the punches and rest on our faith!

I absolutely love these windmills...I wish I owned one. I love to watch them they are so captivating.

day trip.................

I took some photos of the wonderful season of fall! I hate to see cold weather on the way but there is really a lot of beautiful things all around! Its fun to take some time just to stop and look! Iowa has some moody weather but if your lucky to have your camera with you when the clouds roll in you can take advantage of great sky's.

remember being a kid? life was so simple, picnics in the yard playing outside for hours. forgetting that you had to go home when the street lights came on. Its funny how you can hear a bit of a song and it takes you right back to that moment of a time in your life. You feel just as you felt then and before you can bask in it ...its gone.............. pictures can take you there too ! take lots of them !

I also remember when kids did play outside???? now video games keep them inside and they have no idea what they are missing! IMAGINATION whats that? Its the freedom to be anything, anywhere, and anytime! Get out side this weekend and make a new photo to remember later!



This is a photo of me and my brother Brian in the dark hair and my best Friend Carl and his cousin Amy in the pink dress! Yes I hated to where dresses...oh well I where them now, who knew? lol

This is a normal photo in Iowa, other then the fact this is my yard and I do not own any four legged large animals!!!

My neighbor has a beautiful cutting garden and called with a generous offer to come over a get some flowers. He gave my boys this flower and pointed out to them the incredible miracle of the image of a bunny head right before your eyes. I have no idea what kind of flower it is but I had to share it with you. The head is about the size of a pepper corn.

Spent some time at the lake and had a great chance to watch a mother dear eating while her fawn hid in the tall grass. I do not have a zoom on my camera. She let me get within ten feet of her.
